Expanxion…. We’re fulfilling our Prophecy!!!

December 9th, 2011

One Of Our Teams =)

A leading competitor in both the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Technical Recruiting Market, Expanxion is expanding yet again… That’s right- as of January 2012, we will be launching Expanxion into the New York Market. What does this mean for you as a Client Company? We provide you with an even larger scale of highly qualified candidates. What does this mean for our Candidates? We can offer you even greater position opportunities across multiple markets… It means, we have your best interest at hand and we can’t wait to show you!

Because Expanxion is growing at an extraordinary rate especially on behalf of our new pursuits, we have hired a few new team members who will specialize in our integration into the New York market. Essentially, our L.A, and Bay Area teams will continue to provide highly competitive solutions while our new team will strengthen and expand Expanxion’s leverage on the East Coast. We are very excited and proud of Expanxion’s growth as we are looking forward to working with the opportunities that follow.

On another note, we will be making a greater effort to blog more frequently. At Expanxion, part of our success is our team relationships and team building opportunities that enable us to work together and provide you with the best solutions possible. We want to share our most recent events such as our team appreciation days where the whole company will take an afternoon at the pool or go to ‘iFly” (indoor skydiving- you must try it!), or even have a wine/cheese hour where we chat and catch up.

Team Bonding!

Happy Halloween!!! (2011)

Wine and Cheese Please!

Come back in January and meet the new members of our Team!!!  Questions? We love them- Ask away!…. Comments? Those are fun too- by all means!

E3 Expo 2011

June 9th, 2011

I admittedly have been an avid gamer since I was a young kid; my parents would NOT allow me to get a Nintendo, so I would always end up at the neighbors/friends after school playing on their console.  Finally obtained my first console (SNES) when I was probably around 7 or 8, subscribed to Nintendo Power and it was all downhill from there lol.  How does that saying go: “If I had a Penny for Every________, I would be Rich!” Mine would have read: “If I had a Penny for Every Countless Hour I Spent Playing Video Games, I would be a Billionaire”.  Although in recent years (probably the past 5 or 6 years) I have fallen out of touch with the gaming world until the recent surge of COD and the MW Series.  Crazy to think back on how much the gaming world has evolved since I was a kid: 8-bit Handhelds to Xbox Connect and Sony Move, 2D to 3D Worlds to 3D Games.  I recently had a chance to experience that technological advancement in gaming this year at E3 (Electronics Entertainment Expo) for the first time, thanks to a family friend who works at Konami!

Jordan (Friend/Former Colleague) and I arrived to a busy scene Tuesday morning at the LA Convention Center where E3 was being held.  We quickly hopped in the Will Call line to pick up our badges, only to find out that Jordan’s name was no where to be found in the system.  I made a quick call to my friend at Konami and BAM: Jordan transformed into Dante LOL.  Credentialed, Jordan and I grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed into the main showroom (South Hall) for E3.  First stop was the Konami booth to say hello to my friend, unfortunately she was no where to be found.  Inside the Konami exhibit Jordan and I observed 1vs1 gameplay setup for DDR.  As we were contemplating battling one another, a Konami Rep approached us and asked us if we would like to play, we asked if he was any good and he said “Yes, very good in fact”.  So of course Jordan and I asked for a demo in expert mode lol.  Hands down one of the funniest things to watch, but I will give credit where credit is due – he killed it!  As the day progressed we met with our friends at Square-Enix, checked out the MW3 Trailer at Activision and were honored with a tour of Rachet & Clank” All 4 One 3D and Resistance 3 by the Lead Programmer/Friend!

All in all E3 was fun, but I guess I had higher expectations (was hoping for some cool swag, MW3 gameplay and more next gen gaming).

Cheers,
Drew
